CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
The mission of Children’s Ministry is to develop a foundation of biblical literacy from preschool through 6th grade, setting the stage for deeper understanding in the teenage years.
By the conclusion of 6th grade, children will be able to navigate their Bibles with confidence, as well as recite from memory the Lord’s Prayer, the Apostles’ Creed, and the Ten Commandments.
There are four main components of our Children’s Ministry: Sunday School, Kids’ Church, Kids of the Kingdom, and Milestone Markers.
SUNDAY SCHOOL - SUNDAYS 9:15AM
Preschool through 6th grade. Held every Sunday during the Catechism Hour, 9:15-10:15 a.m. Children receive fun and faithful instruction from mature and dedicated teachers.
KIDS CHURCH - SUNDAYS 10:30AM
Preschool through 3rd grade. Held every Sunday during the 10:30 a.m. service. Children begin the service in the sanctuary, depart for an age-appropriate lesson during the sermon, and then return to parents before Communion.
KIDS OF THE KINGDOM - WEDNESDAYS 6:00PM
Held for six-week sessions on Wednesdays, 6:00-7:15 p.m. in the fall, winter, and spring. Preschool through 6th grade. Children are instructed in the building blocks of lifelong faith: What We Believe, How to Pray, and The Way to Live.
MILESTONES OF FAITH - MARKING THE JOURNEY
We love to honor and celebrate the milestones along each child’s journey of faith, including the following major moments: Bible Presentation (at the start of 3rd grade), First Holy Communion (at the end of 3rd grade), and Acolyte & Altar Service (4th-6th grade).
