Wednesdays in Lent

soup suppers

Each Lent, we hear members of our own congregation tell their faith stories on Wednesday nights. These stories are always diverse, evincing how uniquely authored each person’s life really is. At the same time, these stories always share a common thread. That common thread is the same thread that is woven throughout the narrative of Scripture – from a creation that was originally very good but then went very wrong, to God’s promise to redeem the people that he had created and so loved, to the fulfillment of that promise in the person of Jesus Christ and the outpouring of his Spirit, to the ongoing work of Christ’s Spirit as we draw closer to the new creation. This is the story of a believer’s life; it is the story of the Bible.

Wednesdays in Lent begin with Soup Suppers at 6 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Then join us in the Sanctuary at 7 p.m. for a brief worship service and Faith Stories.
